Introduction
Context. The corporate portal is a platform for employees of Positive Technologies. Historically, the company had a corporate portal that could no longer fulfill its functions, so my team and I created a new portal to replace it, tailored to the new needs of the employees.
Goals
  • Study the functionality and operation of the old portal and create a new corporate portal.
  • Conduct research to understand user pain points.
  • Create features to automate processes.
  • Make the corporate portal part of the HR ecosystem.
  • Create a personal account within the portal for each role to solve local problems.
  • Implement new functionality.
My Role
My role was a Product Designer on the team developing HR products. I was the sole designer working alongside a QA specialist, frontend developers, backend developers, and product managers.
What I did:
  • Formulated and tested hypotheses, identified problems with the product, users, and processes through in-depth interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Designed solutions in the form of scenarios, validations, edge cases, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Conducted design reviews of the implementation using Dev Tools.
  • Analyzed feedback and product metrics, and measured them during usability testing and observations.
  • Improved and refined scenarios, comparing feedback and metrics for the "Before" and "After" states of a scenario.

  • Analysis of the target audience, their problems, needs, pain points, and tasks.
